03.07.26: And the coding bug gets even nuttier... as does my sleeping habits!
As I casually mentioned in the News/Blog section last night, I was in a food come for about six hours after a good Lenten meal (potato pancakes) and didn't get up until midnight, after which I headed upstairs, practiced some Python coding (not to well, I'm afraid... I'm already starting to research online bootcamps as of thsi writing, perferably gratis ones for starters) and also looking at YouTube vidos on the subject.) and then upsating this website for a little while.
Before I knew it, it was five in the morning.
Good thing I have the weekends off. 24 hours before that, I was waking up to start getting ready for work!
I am actually not a stranger to any of this. When I was working in a semi-pro cover band straight out of high school, I was alrady used to getting home anywhere between 3AM and 5AM and crashing out until about ten or eleven. When I was working for an inventory service, some of the shifts used to be mornng shifts, and some of them were night shifts. Some of them ended up being overnight shfts == especially when we were inventorying Ames department stores. During my time at a certain blue-box chain store, I started out bouncing back and forth between night and morning shifts until a full-time morning shift kicked in, which I liked because I like a steady, stable work schedule.
At any rate, I've had a solution to my wanting to lay hands on a computer keyboard rather than just an iPad screen when I want to do something other than watch YouTube videos: my freshly Linuxified 2017 MacBook Air. Now that I've finally installed Phoenix Code and VS Code on here, I can update this website or practice some coding in my living room rahter than just pass out on the couch with my iPad in my lap... In fact, that's how this update is coming to you now! Where there's a will, there's a way...
Daylight Savings Time starts tomorrow night as I write this... watch that fuck up my sleep schedule a little more, right?
